Jeramiah

Jeramiah Dooley

Senior Manager of ECS DA Team at AWS


Jeramiah Dooley is a Sr. Manager of the ECS DA Team at AWS, specializing on cloud management platforms and programmatic infrastructure. He is a frequent public presenter and has spent most his career working in the data center infrastructure and operations space. He and brings close to 20 years of technology and design experience to his industry efforts. Prior to AWS, he spent time at Microsoft. Before that, he spent four years working with the SolidFire team, before and after the acquisition by NetApp, focusing on VMware, OpenStack and container integrations along with the SolidFire converged infrastructure solutions. Previously he was part of the VCE Office of the CTO, working with technology executives around the world on strategies to converge and transform IT infrastructure and operations, and he was the global SME for Service Provider business development, multi-tenancy and vCloud Director design as part of the Field Enablement team within the VCE Corporate Engineering Group. He also ran operations and product strategy at one of the first VMware service provider partners.

Jessica Deen

Principal Developer Advocate at AWS


Jessica is currently a Principal Developer Advocate at AWS focusing on Elastic Container Service AKA Native Containers. She previously worked for Microsoft in a variety of capacitities for over a decade. She began as a vendor in April of 2009, became a full time employee in March of 2016, and left in 2022 to join AWS. Prior to joining Microsoft, she spent over a decade as an IT Consultant / Systems Administrator for various corporate and enterprise environments, catering to end users and IT professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Jessica holds three Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MSTS, Azure Infrastructure), 3 [expired] CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, and Security+), 4 Apple Certifications, and is a former 4-year Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for Windows and Devices for IT. In 2013, she also achieved her FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification from the U.S Department of Homeland Security, which recognizes her communication, leadership, influence, problem solving, and decision making abilities during times of crisis and emergency. When she’s not doing something geeky, you can find her doing something active with her family, most likely camping or hiking. She also enjoys biking, eating, reading, and hanging with her 10-year-old rescue pup Miley and her 3-year-old pandemic puppy, Drake. Yes, both dogs are named after celebrities.

Rolling out systems and network solutions for national and multinational companies with a wide variety of technologies, including AWS, Puppet, Docker and Linux. My design strengths are in cloud computing, automation and the security space.
